Update: Public Hearing on Fence Variance

December 21 at 6 pm, before the Regular Council Meeting

Sorry I’m still [12/13/23] so late with the November council meeting report! In the meantime, there’s this to add to your calendar, or just ponder:

In Elberta, the Zoning Board of Appeals has the same membership as the Village Council. Josh Mills, our zoning administrator, will present the information regarding the variance request and his analysis and the ZBA will make a determination after the hearing. Public attendance at the hearing and input ahead of time are welcome (see details above).

Update 12/13/23 Here’s a bit more information about the proposed fence. This is the material ELHC submitted with its application. I can’t see where the height of the fence is specified, just that they would like it to be over 36 inches. The maximum height for a fence per our ordinance is 6 feet. You can read our existing fence rules in the Zoning Ordinance starting on page 40.
