Spring Cleanup Volunteers Needed

Let's make it happen.

In the wake of the resignation of the DPW staff, President Wilkins is asking for volunteers to help with our Spring Cleanup Day, scheduled for Saturday, May 20. The dumpsters had already been ordered ($2,000) at the time of the staff shakeup, and therefore the show must go on. This year, instead of accepting checks or cash, the Clerk/Treasurer will add the $50 fee for a truckload (or a lower fee if you bring less) to your water bill if you use the cleanup service.

We need volunteers to:

• Receive truckloads at the Village Office/Garage and fill the dumpsters there.

• Drive around and help with pickup for those who can’t bring their items themselves.

Volunteers should wear appropriate grubby attire, bring their own gloves, and be capable of lifting heavy items. Contact Jen Wilkins by email (jwilkins@villageofelberta.com) with any questions. Show up on the day of cleanup at 9 or a bit before. Thank you for helping your community!
