Not the slowest news day ever
Jerome, our postmaster, said the PO will be closed for just “a couple of hours” (this was at about 11:15 a.m. today) while the new flooring is sealed up. Tomorrow’s hours should be back to normal. In the meantime, Jerome is accessible from the back door of the establishment.
The rumor that the old, exposed flooring contained asbestos was greatly exaggerated. Jerome said tests concluded no asbestos at all (though it was kind of cool looking).
On the south side of town, an informant alerted me last night that the new ballot dropbox was being installed at the Community Building by Dave Bissell, Gilmore’s clerk. Thank you, Mr. Bissell!
