The printout was looooonnng. I think our election workers (five wonderful ladies) had to put a new roll of tape in three times. Total turnout: 469. Nice. I do have a printout of the tape they kindly provided me, but I’ll spare you the job of looking through the whole thing. All in all, besides the tape issue, it was a cheerful, smooth, and uneventful (process-wise) election, according to Gilmore Clerk Shannon Spencley. Thank you to everyone who turned out to do our patriotic duty! Oh, exciting new development: The new cardboard ballot sleeves make it easier to discreetly scooch your ballot into the machine until it catches.
I am posting the names of those who got any votes at all, rather than listing all the candidates. I will be posting the university and state school board/boards of governors results later (if anyone complains they’re not here). Winners are in bold type. Gilmore results are listed first, then Elberta, then the total. The districts precincts are 1BC (Gilmore Benzie Central Schools), 1FE (Gilmore Frankfort-Elberta Schools), and 1FEV (Village of Elberta) and the results for each precinct are listed in that order. None of the write-ins, alas, were counted. There was a form that had to be filed by October 28 for write-in candidates to be listed.

This is awesome! I never knew that so many of my Benzie brothers and sisters had the same idea. Praise the lord!
Thank you so much for this timely message!
