The previous email was a bit premature, as some of you noticed, but Washington Ave should all be back on now. Unfortunately, per DPW just now, Pearson between Washington and Lincoln is still shut off.
When the water service returns, wherever you are, be sure to let the water run a bit before using it for anything, even if you’re going to boil. It may be a bit gross at first.
Per DPW, until further notice, the following residences are under a boil water order. The water is back on for the whole street, but only a block or so is under boil order because a secret valve was discovered, enabling the boil area to be somewhat isolated.
The hot-pink dots show the locations where people should boil their tap water before internal use by people or animals (that includes boiling ice cubes made by your refrigerator). I will send out a new update when the boil order is lifted (probably 48 hours or less).
