DPW has asked me to issue this PSA: Avoid dumping brush on wet or puddly days. On wet and puddly days, you may find yourself tempted to commit the cardinal sin of the brush pile: premature load dumping. To wit:
Whether the mud occurred before or after this person dumped their stuff, the upshot is that they have started a new pile, unless DPW gets to it in time to move it back. This is a waste of our taxpayer money. Don’t be a premature load dumper.
Take your stuff all the way to the main pile, as far back in there as you can get.
By the way, did you know that the area in front of the brush pile is cursed by an evil spirit and if you put your brush there your brush will rise from the dead and come back to your yard a hundredfold and destroy your life? That’s what I heard.
DPW spent a bunch of time last week putting up this snow fencing to clearly define the path to the pile. The no-trespassing signs are legit: That property is actually owned by someone (not the Village).
I’ll take this opportunity to post the sign with the rules. And put your invasive species in the regular trash garbage, please, where they will be utterly destroyed rather than proliferate madly.
